We are working to end violence against all women, girls, Two Spirit, and gender diverse people and offer supports for survivors in the Halifax Regional Municipality.

Emergency Funds for Survivors of Gender-based Violence

Microloans with no interest and grants that don’t need to be repaid are here to help survivors of gender-based violence access the resources they need and cover costs to safely leave abusive relationships and situations.

Help for Youth Survivors of Sex Trafficking and Exploitation

The Nova Scotia Transition & Advocacy for Youth program supports youth 13 to 24 who are, or have been, exploited or trafficked to help them exit unsafe situations, heal from trauma, and plan for the future.

Supports for Families Experiencing Sex Trafficking

Our Family and Community Outreach Worker (FCOW) works with parents and families whose child is, or is at risk of, being groomed, sexually exploited, or trafficked.

Safe Housing for Survivors of Sexual Exploitation and Human Trafficking

The Safer Spaces program provides emergency transitional housing for young-adult (18 to 29) survivors of sexual exploitation or human trafficking.
