Introducing HERE Services: the Hub for Education, Research and Evaluation.

HERE Services is a new social enterprise powered by YWCA Halifax, drawing on over 150 years of frontline experience and a leadership team deeply embedded in the communities we serve.

We specialize in research, consulting, and community consultation on housing and gender-based violence grounded in deep, trusted relationships with the communities most affected by these urgent issues.

We partner with governments, academic institutions, and organizations to uncover real-world insights, design practical solutions, and ensure that the voices of those most impacted are at the centre of change. From research and consulting to policy development and stakeholder engagement, our work turns evidence into action. Our insights are rooted in real-world practice and trusted relationships, not just theory.

As a social enterprise of YWCA Halifax, every project with HERE Services directly supports YWCA Halifax’s mission to advance safety, housing stability, and gender equity across Nova Scotia and beyond.
