Job Overview
The Youth Programs Support Facilitator works closely with the Manager of Community Programs and relevant program Team Leads at YWCA Halifax to ensure all programs are running effectively and successfully. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience working with youth, running programs or projects, understands the complexity of our diverse communities, and has an interest in learning about employability, youth, newcomers, and physical activity. This position will require excellent communication, research, organizational, and problem solving skills.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Degree or diploma in English, Social Work, Public Relations, Education, Business, Administration, or other related fields of study or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of Community Development would be an asset
- Understanding of Program or Project work would be an asset
- To be able to work effectively as a team member and maintain an open, communicative, and supportive working environment.
- Independent judgement and time management skills
- Effective interpersonal, and organization skills, high level of computer literacy, and communication skills.

Program Support
- Program promotion
- Program asset mapping and reflection

- Program facilitation and support as needed
