DOES THE YWCA NEED DONATIONS OF HOUSEHOLD ITEMS?

Yes, donations of household items or furniture are welcome.

CAN YOU PICK UP? OR HOW TO DROP OFF ITEMS.

Yes, at times we are able to make arrangement to pick up items. Also items can be dropped off to 1233 Barrington Street 'W Suites' please contact Wanda Hill, Program Manager at (902) 423-6162 to make arrangements.

WHAT ARE THE YWCA WISH PROGRAMS OFFICE HOURS?

7:30 am – 3:30pm Monday – Friday

DOES THE WISH PROGRAM HAVE AN AFTER HOURS SERVICE?

Yes, program staff work 7 days a week. There is an after hours service for emergencies only and limited to WISH Program participants. All other inquiries should be made to the YWCA office during the hours of 7:30 am – 3:30 pm.

DO PARTICIPANTS NEEED TO SIGN A HOUSING AGREEMENT?

Yes, All WISH Program participants must sign a housing service agreement and comply with the expectations as outlined. The housing agreement is required to be signed upon admittance into the Program.

DO PARTICIPANTS NEED TO SIGN A TRUSTEESHIP AGREEMENT?

Yes, All WISH Program participants must comply with the expectations as outlined in trusteeship which is required to be signed upon admittance into the Program.

HOW LONG DO PARTICIPANTS COMMIT?

All WISH Program participants are expected to commit to the WISH Program for one year from the date of entry.
