Barrington Street Location

The YWCA Halifax Child Care Centre offers a high quality Early Learning program for children ages 6 months to 12 years old. The YWCA Barrington Street location is licensed to serve 76 children and has: 1 Infant room (6-18 months, 10 Infants); 2 Toddler rooms (18-36 months, 12 Toddlers per room); 1 Preschool room (3-5 years, 16 Preschoolers); and, 1 School Age room (5-12 years, 24 School age children).

This program is paid for by parent fees, and by support from the Department of Community Services which supports a number of parents with child care subsidies. Our Childcare Centre offers inclusive, developmentally appropriate and high quality learning programs to meet the developmental needs of all children.

Spryfield Location

The YWCA Halifax Spryfield Child Care Centre and Offices are currently undergoing development plans and will begin construction in later Winter, 2012. The YWCA Spryfield Location is planned to open in September, 2012 and will be licensed to serve approximately 50 children ages 6 months to 5 years old. We will be the only licensed child care facility in Central Spryfield.
